Life Stories of Nibedita Paul: The Heart of Giving Back

By Aster LiMay 10, 2023
Follow the journey of an Indian girl who is making a positive impact in her community through her inspiring acts.

“My family made me who I am.”

I grew up in a mid-income family that taught me to be grounded and grateful. Sustainable livelihood forged part of my personality to be empathetic and compassionate towards my community and my surroundings.

“An artist, philosopher, and marketer”

What’s more, my passion for art draws me closer to nature, creations, human beings, and everything I am surrounded with. It arouses my emotions from different perspectives to understand myself and others in meaningful ways.

Along the way, I got to work with some of the best technology, retailing, and customer relationship brands in India and around the globe – in both corporate and non-profit environments. While I am proud of most of the campaigns I have worked on, my best work has been with fostering human interactions and emotion sharing, leading to user-generated content, and building self-sustaining strategies

4 years ago, I moved to Seattle. As a marketing consultant at the Indian Dream Foundation for the past year, I am honored to be contributing to different kinds of campaigns with consistent human-centric storytelling. The success of the campaigns strengthened my determination to leverage technology to tell stories of my community as a way to give back.

With the will to self-actualization and give back to my community, I decided to attend the Commlead program. With my empirical knowledge of marketing, artistic mind, and vision to build a cohesive community, I am determined to give back to the community.

“Future? No worries, just hope.”

The transition from having an established career to seeing a diminishing purpose only brought fear and a feeling of discontentment, which kept me worried. However, joining grad school brought hope for me, no worries. The hope of having a platform that will help me reach my goals. The hope of finding my identity again and exploring all possibilities. The hope of leading a life with a purpose. The hope of honing my skills, learn every day and give back to the community from where I come and make a difference.
